MESSAGE FROM OUR FOUNDER:

Our family came to Oxford in 1977 to start a home missions church. After several years of building, I was faced with a choice: The young church, at that time, was unable to fully support a family and growing church work. I could either go back to work in the conveyor industry or start my own firm. So in the spring of 1982, I made a decision to open North Mississippi Conveyor (NMC). With a small investment, a company phone was installed in my home and business cards were purchased. I made a few calls to business contacts and we soon had our first small project at Rockwell International, a hub cap manufacturer in Grenada, MS. Those early days were a sight to see; my wife, Linda, would answer the phone while I was away and we used the carport for preparation work and job fabrication. Our early jobs were mostly repair work, but as our jobs grew in number and complexity, one by one, my sons became a part of NMC. We moved, sometime in 1983, from the carport to renting a portion of a building from Mr. Ross Boatwright SR. We eventually purchased the entire property at 125 County Road 370 in Oxford and added buildings as the business grew. The success of NMC allowed me to stay in Oxford and pastor the First Pentecostal Church of Oxford for thirty-five years. NMC was established in 1982 in Oxford, MS. From carport origins to existing facilities, NMC has grown into a multi-faceted material handling supplier capable of handling any type of conveyor application. From our 40,000 Sq Ft facility we engineer, fabricate & ship conveyor components all over the world. We offer competitive, quality fabrication and installation services, specializing in the conveyor and paint systems field.
